I'm somewhat Excel dumb but in all the years I've used Brun Water, I've never seen these lines with arrows before and have no idea what they are. I deleted the version 5.5 and downloaded it new but they still show up. Can someone tell me what this is and how I can remove them?

Nothing I do changes the ph value.

This are dependent/precedent arrows. They link cells connected to one another by variables.

Try Formulas -> Remove Arrows

I believe the issue is a case of circular references that Excel cannot resolve. I've seen this issue in the free version 1.24, I believe.

I believe there is a setting in the options to allow for iterative calculations:

In Excel (windows), go to File/Options/Formulas and enable Iterative Calculation. In Excel (mac), go to Preferences and then look under heading “Formulas and Calculation” and open “Calculation”, then click box “Use iterative calculation”. In LibreOffice, go to Tools/Options/LibreOffice Calc/Calculate and enable Iterative References.

In most cases you don’t want to allow circular references. It usually means there is a code error somewhere.

Maybe Martin can chime in.

There is no problem with circular references unless a Diverging Solution is possible. That is not the case in their use in Bru'n Water. The current mash pH result is used in subsequent calculations. Circular References are on purpose and quite useful in the program.

As mentioned, its easy to resolve the arrows as pointed out above.
