TNF is supposed to be a national thing. For broader audiences than just the teams own fans.

So far this year we've been treated to
  • a low scoring bears packers game, and they're both terrible anyway
  • TB and Carolina. When was the last time TB was relevant? And there is talk now of Cam Newton just being benched when he is healthy, if I'm not mistaken
  • Tennessee and Jacksonville. I think I heard advertisements for that game including the statement "Nick Foles has Jacksonville firing on all cylinders". When was the last time these Titans were relevant?
  • Ok, maybe the packers iggles game was kind of interesting. The packers suck and they lost, which is always good. Hopefully the large flightless birds at the Philly zoo were not used as mounts after that game.
  • the next three games included the seachickens, new jersey, denver. Three teams going nowhere this year.
  • This game featured a team whose only win was against miami, if I'm not mistaken. And while I'm sure the fanbases were excited to see Case Keenum and Adrian Peterson play Kirk Cousins, I don't think anyone else cared.
Coming up we can expect
  • arizona will be overmatched by san fran
  • nobody outside of the afc west to care, and only one team in that division is relevant
  • hahahahahahahahahahahahaha [breath] hahahahahahahaha....
  • might end up being interesting
  • rumor is that Julio Jones' picture is about to go on milk cartons in the atlanta area
  • lol trubisky
  • will Darnald's spleen have ruptured by now?
Move the games back to sunday and monday. this thursday night thing is just garbage.

lol! Where the hell did ^that^ come from? :D

Anyway...I think Darnell's hair will rupture before his spleen. Dude needs to cut back on the product thing before his skull gets crushed.

Two minds wrt TNF: for some reason unless the Patriots are playing the games are hella boring. Obviously the league isn't going to designate Thursday Night Football as "Patriots Versus Whomever" night (although that would be waaaay more interesting) so, yeah, they might as well kill it...

It just seems like most of the TNF games are either lopsided, a tickle fight, or at best better than mediocre division games that are relevant to two fanbases besides those who are playing in them, and hardcore fantasy football junkies.

and nobody cares about your fantasy football team.

“TNF is suppo....”

Zzzzzz.... zzzzzz... zzzzz.

I gave that post to one of my kids as a reading assignment. Book report is due in a week.

Probably won’t read that either

Michigan State is going to have a quality game against Penn--mark my words. They're going to rise to the challenge. They are due! I wouldn't be surprised if MSU blows PSU out by 21 points. I'm very confident about this.

Stuck in a loop? ;)
Ever notice the riff-raff non-Patriots fans constantly sniping NE here?
I see you live in MA. You probably know this but most people not in MA like the Patriots when they aren't playing their own team. They're the most interesting thing going and quite an anomaly.

most of the TNF games
It's a player conspiracy--I'm surprised everyone doesn't know this. The players HATE playing on Thursday so they're fighting back in the only way they know how. Yes, they've adopted the WWE format replete with a script to save their bodies. They just need better writers. It's early stages still so what you're seeing is the growing pains. The games will get better, eventually.

You know you'd never capture that sentiment in a poll but I'll take your inside word on it :)
I'd think 35 teams worth of fans would loath New England and everything it represents.
A similar paradigm as the Dallas dynasty days...

Cheers!

So the players are conspiring? I guess it's possible, but I think Case Keenum would argue otherwise.

Yeah, I saw that briefly. Was checking it via the ticker at the top, because I don't care about the play-by-play or stats in that game.

I don't see anything worth buckling up for. It's the browns. I'm pretty sure that the browns are 2 - 49,629 when they're down by two scores at some point in the game since they became a thing again.

If you had actually watched how this game progressed from the beginning to where it became evident Cleveland was successfully moving the ball (while the Patriots were struggling offensively) and was only one score down you might have a better understanding of where things were...

Cheers!
