I liked it more or less outlines what rational Hawk fans debate.

One thing about passing is for whatever reason Carroll has never grabbed big receivers that acutally can play. So Wilson's had to rely on two marginal UDFA for the last couple years. With the addition of Lockett and Graham I think we will see the passing tick up a bit.

Not too many premier receivers are going to be happy on the team with the fewest passing attempts in the league. You are not going to be able to get downfield effectively and consistently without pocket passing. The down field plays are predicated on the defense trying to stop the running threat.

True and I don't think it's moving away from what works. But more putting it on Wilson's shoulders now while they still have Lynch to rely on. This could be lynchs last year or he could play for five more who knows with him. So might as well shift more to Wilson now because behind lynch we have Rawls and that's about it. Now that Turbin was claimed by the browns.

Crappy oline play hasn't helped either and I think with them moving to younger guys they'll get better and in subsequent years the passing game will come into shape with more balance.

It's really an unknown about what the Hawks will do once lynch hangs em up. Unless we can grab Lacey (pipedream) or draft someone (crapshoot) I'm not sure what this team does without lynch so its good to see them addressing that now instead of waiting and being F'd
