Let's play a game called "guess what year the dolphins last were a decent football team"

Hint: that year a drama about a US army medical unit debuted on CBS.

I don't have to guess, the answer is 2008.

EDIT: I'm not the one bringing up recent success like it means something. Aberrations happen. Consistent success is a habit.

It's been 14 years since the Dolphins last won a playoff game. If I were a Dolphins fan I'd keep quiet about how "decent" they are. Set the bar low, very low, and you won't be disappointed when the Dolphins underachieve, again.

What I hear you saying is that being TMDTOTM means something. And we all know who TMDTOTM is, am I right?

You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

Dictionary said:
of an acceptable standard; satisfactory.

I'm quite satisfied with last year, considering what an artificially-generated media circus cluster **** it was.

Dictionary said:
of high quality; excellent.

That is the applicable definition of good. This applies to a playoff team.

Dictionary said:
notable; remarkable; exceptionally outstanding:

This is the definition of great. It applies to teams that make it into the Super Bowl.

Now that we have that settled, I will stand by my assertion that the Dolphins are a decent team. They have the potential to be good.

You're happy that the Dolphins, needing just one win in their last two games, choked to the Bills and the Jets? If that's what you think is a decent season well then......

The SF thing could get interesting, coming within days of the Commish stating they effed up wrt suspensions for beating the snot out of a woman versus smokin' a bone.

I see "Example" coming...

Cheers!

ONE guy... and he's not a Patriot anymore.

Besides... All three of those guys were asking for it.

I don't need more rips... The Pats are awesome and the Dolphins suck. It's that simple and I don't need any more rips than that.

It's a luxury we Pats fan have.

yet you insist on regurgitating the samed tired ones post after post. Shutting your pie hole might be your luxury, but it's not one you ever exercise.

Cheaters, crybabies, ******s, frontrunners, criminals. I don't have any such luxuries, so yeah, I'll keep pointing out what the rest of the world sees when they look at the Asterisks.

Maybe Jonathan Martin left because of the ********* fans.

Sent from the kingdom of beer.

Let's analyze that.

1) What started that whole fiasco was the rest of the offensive line getting up from the meal table when Martin sat down. He broke down crying and stormed out of the building.

2) Armando Salguero pointed out that the whole "bullying" thing didn't become an issue until it was becoming apparent that the coaches were ready to bench him. Because he legitimately sucked (and still does, given his status as a back-up).

3) Jonathan Martin gave as good as he got, if the text records are any indication.

So, yeah, I don't think the fans had anything to do with it. I think the fact that he grew up being pampered by lawyer parents in the heart of Commie-fornia and didn't know how to deal with actual adversity, rather than the artificial stressors of the (admittedly academically difficult) Stanford classroom, had everything to do with it.

Guess you showed me. In the future we prefer that essays be in the 5 paragraph form.
