We have a lot of O-line options, but never figured they would dump Mankins. He has always been tough and versatile.

Quinn was a camp arm, nothing more FF. He left on a good note with a classy "thank you" tweet. Next Belicheat picks him up and attaches his brain to the "playbook sucker" to get ready for week 1.

Maybe it's a situation where the Pats see some solid progress from the two o-linemen they drafted and aren't overly concerned with filling that guard position with much younger and cheaper talent. Then, if they can get a decent TE, 6'4", 220 second year player who caught for 570 yards and five Tds to play the other side from Gronk... And get back into a two TE set which they have had a lot of success with... For $5mm less than Mankin's contract....
