Other than positive yards, blocking, completed passes, and points scored, AZ's offense isn't looking too bad. :drunk:

At Least they can snap the ball

For the record, and I hate to defend Hoppy on a point, but it was Sherman, the mouthy bitch corner, who Hoppy called a Pro Bowler.

Funny thing is, I checked the 2012 Pro Bowl roster (the only one he could've made so far, considering the guy's only in his second year), and I'm having a hard time spotting him. Must be my eyes...

About three weeks ago, he was talking about how great Seattle's receivers were. I tried to find the quote, but reading that many of Hoppy's posts in a row was starting to make me feel nauseous. Maybe someone with a stronger stomach can go back a few weeks and find the post where he was slobbering over Sidney Rice and co.

Rice has been on my FFB bench since I picked him up @ the draft (that's for Cape). I'm waiting for Wilson to shine or The Mighty Matty Irish Flynn to step in. For some reason I still don't drop him.

I feel like sipping some Jameson now.

Came through unscathed here, minus a slightly dinged up gas grill... We got pretty lucky in my neck of the woods. Other parts of my state, not so much - and definitely not NY or the Jersey shore, yikes!

Yeah, Jersey got creamed, and you didn't have to be near the shore to feel the punch. My oldest son brought his wife and my grandsons up to our place to wait out the power outage back at their place in north-central NJ. They were told it would be at least a week before the lights come back on.

That's one year to the day from Snowmageddon 2011 - which also took their power out for a week. Bad friggin' luck, that...

Cheers!

Just hanging out here in SE Mass basking in the warm glow of the throttling the Pats put on the Rams in London.

Joking aside... While there are a ton of surrounding towns with huge power outages, we had lights flicker and that was it (and we are thankful). Mass overall doesn't seem to be too bad.

I have 70 yr old in-laws down in Monmouth County, NJ and I am not too happy with the reports out of there. They are saying 8-14 days with no heat, hot water, etc. even thought my mother-in-law is dead set against it, I am about four seconds from driving down there with our generator.

What am I gonna do??? Sit up here and bask in the warm Pats win glow while my in-laws freeze from not having any power??

I have a soul

After Katrina, my in laws stayed with us for 6 months. Wonderful folks but that was long enough.

Can't they bask in the glow of the Jets crash and burn?

I live on a somewhat big lake and we get micro-bursts every so often during the summer. We got damage maybe a little bit larger than the usual due to the storm. I guess it was my turn in the neighborhood to get damage. An oak snapped falling on the powerline to my house. Honestly, my whole neighborhood is an old cottage area so living in the woods your gonna get trees on your roof or car under normal situations. Looks like we got a couple of microbursts during the storm. It actually snapped several telephone poles down the street from me. I still don't have power. Luckily no one got hurt. All in all it wasn't that bad.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Chicago will be 7-1 come Monday morning. I know we barely eeked out a win last week, but I don't think that'll happen again. Last warm up game before a couple tougher weeks!!

The Bears aren't nearly as good as their record indicates. It's easy to win 6 games when you play Jax, Indy (week 1), Detroit (not good), Carolina, and StL. Cutler is 3rd in sacks, has a terrible td/int ratio (nearly 1:1), and are 31st in total yards. Also, there is no way they can keep scoring on D like they do (6 total on D and 15 total on O). Their world is going to come crashing down.

Anyways, love the Giants this week against a Pitt team that has to travel on gameday.

Yeh, mebbe. Wouldn't be the first time defense carried a team, though. I'm in no way insinuating Super Bowl or anything, but they're one of the tougher teams in the league this year. No where near as good as the NY Football Giants though. :D

Well, my system is going live this week. It's on the table. I've tweaked it a bit. My picks are bolded.

I also had SD -7.5 KC, but calling it after the fact ain't so impressive. I also had to buy off a line or two... cuz paying -130 seems crazy for betting on a 'dog! My picks are listed with the altered lines that I'm actually playing.

BAL -3 *CLE*
HOU -10 *BUF*
*WA* -3.5 CAR
DET -4.5 *JAX*
CHI -3 *TN*
*ATL* -3.5 DAL
*NYG* -3.5 PIT
*NO* -2.5 PHI

The ones I didn't touch are:
DEN -7 *CIN*
SEA -5 *MIN*
MIA -2.5 *IND*
GB -3.5 *AZ*
*OAK* -1.5 TB

Even though I'm not touching those bottom games, I'm still posting my picks for anyone who is curious. My system gets narrower as teams approach .500, so sometimes it seems better to tuck my tail in. Last week was weird, I only would have had action on 2 games (but would have won them both).
