Well that blew, but it felt like it after about 10 minutes in. Guess the trend of 15+ wins in a regular season not winning it all continues. Good luck to those who are left!

Now there's only 1 powerhouse offense left. I do think SF wins next week but we shall see.

Not sure when the last time SF and NY played, but should be a good one.

Get ready for all the flashbacks of their 2003 playoff game with the 24 point comeback for the Niners.

The Pack sounded awful. I caught the Westwood broadcast, and it seemed like every other sentence involved the phrase dropped pass in it.

Let's go 9er's and Ravens. Here's to hoping Brady and Eli are eating potato chips in February!

Today is a tough day. You realize that there are only 3 more professional football games this season, and your team can only win 2... well at least in New England.

The good news is that you Packers fans can now watch Rodgers and his buddies in the Pro Bowl!

So, when do they announce the MVP? Kind of ridiculous that it's between Rodgers and Brees, when Brady's the only one still playing.

It's already selected IIRC. They don't do the post season.

I heard this morning that its been 8 years in a row that the team with the most regular season wins has failed to win the SB. Definitely odd. The way the Packers flamed out I'd rather it not have happened in the SB.

Congrats, you did get a first.

"The Packers are the only 15-win team in NFL history to lose in the divisional round of the playoffs. As the chart shows, the other five teams at least advanced to their conference championship game."

Most Wins in Regular Season, NFL History
Season Team W-L Postseason
2007 Patriots 16-0 L, Super Bowl XLII
2011 Packers 15-1 L, Div Playoffs
2004 Steelers 15-1 L, AFC Championship
1998 Vikings 15-1 L, NFC Championship
1985 Bears 15-1 W, Super Bowl XX
1984 49ers 15-1 W, Super Bowl XIX

Packers are done. Damn, I was hoping for a couple more games to keep me occupied till Brewers spring training starts. Dang. MU in March Madness, maybe?? Nah, I doubt it. :(

Yes, cuz MVP = advancing the farthest in the playoffs

As for Ed Reed, ESPN TV said nothing serious but no status on if he'll be able to play. But if I heard them correctly, Ed has missed the last 3 games at Gillette because of injuries. Coincidence or something more sinister?

I read this morning that Reed expects to play - apparently he just rolled the ankle pretty good, but was able to mostly walk it off on the sideline.

I'm kinda looking forward to seeing a good collision between Reed and Gronk. I'm pretty certain I know who, at this point in their careers, is likely to come out on top of that encounter.

Fake, or she's one of those beotches that cries whenever she hits that drunken tipping point. We all know some of those. :cross:

This Packer fan won't go away that easily. Brady can have the MVP award, I'd choose her instead if I were Rodgers.

I'll take this crying one over the corn fed one above. Have I mentioned I'm fond of Brunettes?

BTW - do all you Patriot fans go hide in a cave during the week? For that matter, we got Dataaazzzzz for the Ravens and a couple of stragglers for the gints and niners. Wow, what a bunch of superstitious losers. Hopefully it all ends in a tie :p

I actually think Niners take it as well. I think Eli is going to get roughed up and have a pick and/or a fumble that is the difference in the game. One thing for sure, 49ers are going to be hitting seriously in the backfield unlike some other unmentioned team no longer in the playoffs. And there will be players who get knocked out of the game.

With the rain expected this weekend, the SD defense won't over pursue. It will be a sitback and see what happens kind of game. Mind you, I hope the Giants get destroyed out there.

That was the one thing (weather forecast) I wasn't sure about. If its a sloppy field it doesn't bode well for defenses and probably not a good thing for SF.
