Hahaha. I really am glad to see him doing this. There are gonna be some funny moments though. Check this out.

It's not surprising San Francisco is evaluating his projected contributions "off the field."

Why wouldn't they? All players are expected to be involved in the community, plus San Francisco has a large gay community. I would expect Washington, Atlanta, and Seattle to do the same considering they were all recently made the top 5 in The Advocates top 10 gayest cities in America.

A team he doesn't even play for shows him more support than his own father. Crazy world.

Yeah, that's pretty sad. His father stated that he was struggling with it and that he didn't want his grand kids growing up in that environment. Hope he struggled just as much with his other two sons being career criminals as he did with his college educated NFL bound son being gay. Come to think about it with two kids in the ground and two others in prison maybe he isn't the best to talk about environments to raise kids in.

Not shocking but at work the biggest argument about it was how do I explain this to my kids. I don't want my kids to see that.........see what? I swear homophobes (lets call them what they are) just see gay people humping all day and god forbid you have to explain to little Timmy that someone might have two dads or two moms.

Sorry forgot to add CHAMPS, gotta keep it relevant.

I dunno... I still find this entire Incognito/Martin thing insanely suspicious.

Pretent your Martin for a second... you suck and your team sucks. Your career isn't one where you're going to be making a ton of money. You, maybe, aren't into it as much. you have two high powered lawyers for parents... and... you just happen to have a MOUNTAIN of "evidence" that you had been enduring a "hostile environment" in the workplace.

It all lines up just a little too conveniently.

Now... Incognito has a long history of being a d-bag but this whole Martin thing is just too suspect.

I don't know about any of you but if someone just took a long list of my text messages to my buddies or texts from my buddies to me... and/or recordings of what we say to each other over a couple beers... in a vacuum without being there in person, it would look like we were the most evil people on the planet. We purposely try to out-offend each other.

I just don't know that's I'm buying any of it or not. Again... it'll all lines up wayyyyyyyy to easily for there to be a MASSIVE lawsuit here with Martin freakin' suing EVVVVERYONE... Incognito, the Dolphins, the NFL... anyone he can get his hands on.

And I am willing to bet what was going on between Incognito and Martin is going on between 30 other guys in that locker room and then 30 guys in each and every other locker room in the league.

Exactly. It happens a hell of a lot more then we know about, this one person just decided he couldnt take it. Maybe the fact that his parents are lawyers makes him think, and gives him a chance, at winning a lawsuit though.

So you think it's suspect to document your interactions with a person who's been abusive? It's just plain smart if you ask me. Because his parents are attorneys is probably one of the reasons it occurred to him to do so. I'm in a field of work where if you don't have it documented then it didn't happen. A shame that someone gets slammed for being smart...

It happens all the time so that makes it right? Or maybe he's making a stand? Macho/tough guy BS is something stupid people do to hide insecurities. He's not trying to rip anyone off...I'm sure he'll be fine financially, not because of this but because he's smart and motivated.

Not saying it makes it right, just that the media is making a bigger deal out of it then it really is. I know its the off-season though, so that doesnt help.

If Richie Incognito was ACTUALLY picking on the guy and causing a ligit "hostile environment"... okay... fine... I might see that line of thinking...

But that was my point earlier... i'm not 100% convinced that he actually was. I think there is a reasonable chance (maybe not 50% but reasonable chance) that Richie Incognito and Martin... and 80% of every other football player in the league bust each other's stones in the exact same way.... and like I said before... if you take those comments out of context, of course it is going to look horrible.

Put it this way... If I showed you a video of Incognito and Martin in a locker room and they're going back and forth with "mom jokes" and then Incognito goes with something like, "I'll remember that when I'm banging your sister later".

Is it a big deal?? No, not remotely... distasteful? sure but that's how guys talk to each other all the time.

Now... if I showed you a different video of Incognito and Martin and incognito has Martin pinned to a locker by the throat and is screaming in his face that he'll remember something "when I'm banging your sister later"... THAT is a BIG EFFIN difference.

None of us were in the locker room so we have no idea what context this stuff was said in. All we know is that he said he was going to bang his sister.... which people are flying off the deep end instantly thinking this is the worst assault in the history of ever... when... fck... i say sht worse than that to my buddies almost daily.

So now I'm going to get accused of "harrassing" my friends?? please.

I'm ignoring you now for being even more Hoppy than usual

Making a million assumptions to prove your point...it means you have no point.

I hate over sensitive people who are offended by anything and everything, but I really don't think that applies to this situation. He's quoted as saying he bought a gun to shoot black people...not really light hearted material

I 100% agree with this but again after seeing some of the quotes published I don't think this situation is the same. Not saying anything is over the top if we're talking about good long time friends. Like you said some of the brutal trash we dish our good friends in an unknown context would look just as bad.

Clearly both parties weren't good friends and the awkwardness would be evident. Anyway, you're mom likes it reverse cowgirl.

I think a bigger issue is that a staff member and another unnamed Lineman were being harassed as well.

You cant compare what you and your friends do it isn't relevant to a work environment. Regardless of what you feel is harassment if Martin felt uncomfortable and wanted it to stop then it has to cease immediately.

Pouncey/Incognito/Jerry need to be dealt with by the league and severely. It doesn't matter if this is a locker room if you blatantly engage in racist and homophobic harassment in a workplace then you should not be working there anymore.

Was there any actual evidence that Martin wanted it to stop? Other Martin NOW saying he was harassed?

I'm honestly asking because I haven't see any reports of that.

If he went to the team and said, "this **** is too much and it needs to stop"... And it didn't.... Okay, different story but all of the interviews with players I've seen said Martin and Incognito were friends and this "harassment" stuff came out of left field to all of them.

In that environment who do you go to? The coach? You already have a staff memeber engaging in that behavior how can anyone in that organization be trusted. Honestly Martin was in a rock and hard place situation. If you take the accounts at face value he was willing to entertain thoughts of suicide and that goes beyond a little locker room banter.
