it's a trap...stay away from that bet.

lock of the week is Detroit.

That's tough, because I just don't see how the Jaguars score a single point at Seattle with that crowd and against a premium NFL defense. Perhaps the Seahawks will just be content to take a 21 - 7 win and coast.

No sure that I agree with on Detroit. Bush is questionable for the game but the Redskins defense is looking terrible. On the other hand Stafford is completely untrustworthy on limiting turnovers.

With how bad the Skins defense is they'd have to score in the 30s to cover in that game. Their running game is a joke too and RGIII's sophomore slump may last all year long

All that said...picking a 'lock' in the NFL is really hard.

Wow Colts just traded a 1st rd for Trent Richardson

Just a terrible trade by the Browns. I cannot think of one positive that comes out this for them. The Colt's 1st rounder is a going to be in the 20s range, at best, while Richardson has much more value than that. I've read that the Browns are likely going to use it as leverage to draft a QB, but their QB evaluation is historically garbage - and they were well on their way to a top 10 pick this year anyway. Now they're all but certain to land in the top 5. Just a terrible, terrible decision and proof again that God hates Cleveland.

I don't ask a lot of you people.

Most of you, I don't even like.

But, I'm asking all of you to take a minute or two out of your day, and sign this petition to request GWAR's performance at the 2015 Super Bowl halftime show.

Please. Think of the children.

Hard to say...RBs are a dime a dozen in the NFL and Rainey may turn out to be a stud. There is a pretty crazy QB class coming out next year and a lot of people think that's the end game in this whole thing.

It's the Browns though. They're going to blow the Richardson 1st round pick for sure. The league is obviously changing but a talented running back with Richardson's skill sets (particularly blocking) are not easy to find and I would think would pair well with a rookie QB. Luck has to be thrilled this morning.

If you look at the top running backs, there's almost as many guys who were late picks/undrafted as high draft picks.

More fundamentally, it sounds like Cleveland is looking to spread the field out more - they aren't necessarily looking for a 20-carry/80-yard workhorse guy. Although if Brandon Weeden were my QB, I'd be looking to hand the ball off as many times as I could.

Pretty excited to see Hoyer the Sunday.

Me too... Because I picked up the Vikings Defense yesterday figuring I could eat whatever production Richardson was going to put up against them. Now it looks like it could literally be a gold mine.

Also McCoy looked promising when he had a workable RB. Weeden has always looked pretty terrible imo but I guess he can throw the deep ball at least. He's like the Brown's Romo with even less skill.

No no no.

By the rules, it must be a duo group to balance it out.

GWAR and. .... wait for it.... Miley Cirus singing together.

Then the Superbowl will follow their legacy.

So Miley circus chugs the pecker? I like it.

I dunno... I think I see a nipple...
Man-nipples don't apply to that rule. We are a moral and ascetic society after all.

Chip Kelly's offense looks great....

It only took two weeks for the NFL to squash that bull****.
Looked like a cross between a decent decent and Vick choking. Without all the fumbles and interceptions, who knows who wins that game last night.

Your football knowledge is terribly limited I see.

No.

The spread-option works in college because the defenses don't have 5 star athletes at every position and QB's are too valuable to take the beating they'll take.

This is the same reason why the traditional option never worked in the NFL, except for the ocassional gimic play.

The wildcat works because you don't care if that player takes a hit or two every game.

Vick won't survive the season uninjured.

You just regurgitated what every half wit "analyst" has said about that offense since he became coach.

Last night's result had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with "NFL squashing" the offense. There were 5 turnovers and the defense was on the field the entire first half. He didn't even try to run the read option spread the way he wants because his defense needed rest.

Very possibly; we'll see how it plays out. The defense actually played really good which is a good sign. That offense will need work, no doubt.
