So it begins again!

Not a big Chiefs fan, but I like them for tomorrow and not opposed to have them be the first three-time in-a-row champs.

Obligatory 'Go Cowboys!'

Dak is seriously overrated.

With the amount of turnovers and time of possession, the Chiefs should've one by more than 27-20. Especially since they were literally a toe away from losing.

Where there's smoke there's fire on the field and Bar B Que tailgating. You can almost smell it. Go Chiefs

This may be the only time this year (or even many, perhaps) that this is legit: The New England Patriots are in First Place in their Division!

Go PATS! 😁

Well we're 5 games in, and only two undefeated teams remain: Mahomes in Kansas City, and (checks notes) Sam Darnold in Minnesota.

Show of hands, who called it?

...

You're all liars.

Football is weird.

TB giving KC a ton of grief tonite, and while KC usually wins in the end they may not pull that off tonight...

[edit] Call me "El Wrongo" cuz KC won with an opening TD in OT...

The Harbaughs should play against each other every year. Make it the third Thanksgiving day game or the Christmas game so it hecks up their family plans.

At 1 point last weekend the Bears had more punts (5) than total yards of offense (4).

Great decision to draft the QB and not trade the pick for 3-4 other picks that could helped in other places. Like I don't know, some offensive linemen....

It's the QB draft conundrum. I'm sure you already know, but I feel like explaining the obvious today.

The worst teams usually had bad QBs, and they get top draft picks. They think "oh gosh, we have a chance at terrific QB" and they feel an urgency to draft that QB before he's gone, since top QBs are usually drafted really early.

Bad QB play isn't necessarily all on them. If the rest of the offense is garbage, then it will exaggerate how bad they are. If the player doesn't mesh with the coach, or if the coach tries to force the round peg of a player into the square hole of their offense, that won't go well either. Former Jets QBs Sam Darnold and Geno Smith, and former Browns QB Baker Mayfield, might be good examples of average or above average QBs who are are taking advantage of second chances with better teams. Even Justin Fields had a moment this year.

Fans, team owners, and coaches should be more patient with their players. But, that isn't the world we live in these days. Teams also shouldn't be in such a hurry to draft their QBotF.

I gotta say, even though I knew that KC was going to obliterate the browns, I've been hoping to see some signs of life from the browns more than a third quarter, garbage time TD, since Watson got hurt/demoted/whatever. I want the front office and ownership to recognize how ridiculous they were going after Watson when Stefanski, author of one of the worst offensive meltdowns seen in the playoffs, managed to get them going in the right direction with him and Mayfield. Mayfield and the Buccaneers are a contender in their division at the moment, while the browns are continuing to demonstrate how dysfunctional they are.

Sure, you may have a coach that'll never take you on a deep playoff dive, but he at least seemed to get the team to where they weren't a complete laughingstock. He even managed to get Watson to win a few games last year. This year he fell back to earth and ownership said "dang it, we're paying how many million to this guy no matter what, so he better be starting", until his Achilles exploded. But the team is so dysfunctional that a quarterback change hasn't helped at all.

Dysfunction starts with the ownership. Even if you have a respectable coach, he cannot escape the dysfunction from above. Poor Stefanski has two seasons left with Watson's fully guaranteed contract (which might've been one of the most expensive QB deals when it was signed) on the books.

Most guaranteed $$$ in the NFL.

The Browns were morons to pursue him in the first place, and to sign that contract was truly an unprecedented mistake that I am not sure anyone thought would pan out at all.

Only the Brown and Carolina management make the Bears look like they are half competent...

Even Jax was smart enough to cut bait and run when the Urban experiment crashed quickly.
