But he never lived in the White House.
I am not a fan of the guys politics, but I think this is awesome. I would totally brew a "Presidential Beer" recipe. We should swamp the White House with requests to publicize the recipe!
It's surely not a 'Wit' beer...
It would be much more cool if he did it not have the chef do it for him.
I for one am willing to cut the guy some slack. I imagine it might be a bit tough to run a country while keeping an eye on your boil additions.
Staffer: "sir, another country is under revolution; we need you to act."
President Obama: "hold on just a second, another couple of minutes before the 15 minutes addition of cascade, if I throw 'em in too early it's gonna mess up the IBUs slightly."
............Although there will always be that 30%. You know who they are.
It isn't that I don't think it is neat I just can't help but notice how many ways Obama is trying to get into the history books for "firsts" without actually accomplishing anything helpful.
He wouldn't get my vote either, but I wouldn't pass up the chance to have a beer with the guy. Unless of course he made me pay.
I briefly met Obama in Schaumburg, IL at at baseball game some years ago when we was running for IL senate. Politics ignored, he seemed like a really cool guy.
Yes, because being the first black president in US history is completely overshadowed by the homebrew.
