That really depends on how much you are using and how oaky you want it and what temp it is at. The general rule of putting anything in the secondary is just to take a taste every day and yank it when you hit the level you want.
 
oak chips have a high surface area and oak quickly (and less complexly). 1-2 weeks is all you should need, but taste it frequently til you're at the level you want.
