In my headstrong enthusiasm as a new brewer, when ordering some supplies from Williams I also ordered some of their extracts (Nut Brown and German Gold)without a recipe to go with it. I can do a Dortmunder with the german, but I'm not sure about the Brown-I think add 1 lb of crystal but not sure of the hops or yeast. Any suggestions?

Their Nut Brown extract makes a fine ale as-is, no specialty grains needed. Cook it up with Fuggles & EKG and a neutral ale yeast.

I noticed they have started selling their special extracts in 8 lbs bags. Back before Michael died, he always insisted on using a bag and a half (9 lbs) in a batch. What a mess that was!
