I'm planning on making the Number 8 Belgian Strong AG kit from Northern Brewer this weekend:

http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/review/product/list/id/3294/category/154/

I was reading around, and I couldn't seem to find a consensus on what to do when bottling. I read that some people added extra yeast to ensure carbonation, some just added extra sugar, and some didn't do anything special at all.

Does anyone have any experience with this recipe that could help me out?

It will depend on how long you leave it in the fermentor. If you leave it in there for a month there should still be plenty of yeast for bottle conditioning. If you leave it in the fermentor for closer to two months then I would suggest adding some yeast at bottling. As with any bottling procedure you should add the appropriate amount of corn sugar for the carbonation level you are trying to achieve. Belgian strong ales are usually highly carbonated but make sure the bottles you are using can handle the high carbonation levels.

cheers,
Brandon

I made this about a year and half ago. Primary for a month, secondary for I believe 2 months. At bottling I didn't add any additional yeast and it still carbed up within a month.

I definitely wouldn't add extra sugar....if there are still yeast in there they will consume all the sugar anyway.
