Had a doxie as a kid named Schotzie. Much later, a mini-doxie called Rasputain/Rusty & a goldie mix called Nuggett. I currently have two retired racing greyhounds called Katie and Cougar.

I don't name the finches or gerbils, way too many of them.

I dont have any pics but we have a pure bred mutt named Six-Toe-Moe. He is some kind of Shepard mix, and he has two dewclaws on each of his hind legs. SWMBO just got a new Pomeranian tentatively named Goombah this week. Her old one had to be put down last month. When we get a house I will get a Vietnamese potbelly pig and name her Ossifer.

Here are our three, Mika the black lab mix, Hunter the beagle, and Max the Golden Retriever. They are after a squirrel.

It's not a great picture, it was taken through a window screen, but on the left is Spices, a German Shepherd/Husky mix. We didn't name her, she came with the name when we got her, she was already two. Mostly we call her Fat Puppy.
The Husky on the Right is Nanook, we rescued him from the pound. SWMBO named him after the dog in The Lost Boys. We call him Gay Dog, he prances and enjoys wearing purple feather boas (not that there's anything wrong with that). Sadly the boa pictures were pre-digital.

Thought I'd add Louie's picture...

LOL....he looks like quite the character. I like his coloration, too. :) There was someone here giving away Bassett pups recently, but I had to pass. I'd love to have one.

Some really cool pics!

I used to have a dog whose full name was Jack Sh*t (Jack for short).
It was cool for two reasons, the first being a line from the song "The Weight" by The Band and the second being when people told me I didn't know Jack Sh*t, I could reply: "That's my dog!".

Good looking dog Wolf! In fact he looks exactly like the dog that had ours! And she's a prancer too. She was SWMBO's dog originally, I adopted her. :D She''ll be 15 in June, is diabetic and gets insulin twice a day. But she can still get a little fiesty. For the most part. Yeah, she sleeps. I figure she's entitled.

Over 2 years later tho, the boy I miss is Dakota. Stroke then a heart attack. Damn shame at 9 years old. MOSTLY Shepherd, big boy, but the biggest pu$$y you ever met. All 110 pounds of him. Used to have to give him downers during thunderstorms or he'd try to get in your lap, no joke. He's the shepherd in my gallery.

He is cool. Very obedient. I was unemployed when I got him (puppy) and spent two months 24hrs a day with him! He has one blue eye and one brown (full vision in both). Bit clever, too clever for me. He will fetch a ball for over an hour, rest for 5 min and then back into it again! Will be getting another one, that is for sure - will have to wait a couple of years though :(
Needs a big runaround garden and a LOT of exercise.

The dog is named Dewd, he's a Lab Poodle mut (I'm alergic to dogs but I love them too much to not have one) . . . We let the then 2 y/o kid name it. The picture is shortly after the boy woke up and the dog wasnt too happy that the boy made him get out of bed too . . .

We've given up on keeping the dog out of the boys bed since both the boy and the dog seem to disagree with us

We have a 2 Bulldogs the Male is 'Buster' and the Female is 'Punkin' and my brother recently gave us his ****su already named 'Gizmo'

Oh how I wish the Bulldog wasnt fixed so we could breed a Bull**** dog...

50+ posts a few hours…dang, there must be some unknown connection between beer making and dog owning.
Have two mutts, Barley & Ruger, named after my two favorite things…Beer & Guns.

Those are nice looking dogs - I assume they're the ones in your sig. How are they with shedding?

Yes, that is them. The shedding is not near as bad as a lab, but they take lots of brushing. If you spend 10 minutes a day per dog, they usually look okay.

Is Dakota the one in the picture after a hard night of drinking and smoking? :)
Nice looking dog, a shame to have the problems at 9, thats how old Spices is now.
She's a runty little thing for a Shepherd mix for some reason, only about 55 pounds, looks tiny next to dogs like Dakota. From 2-5 years old everyone with Shepherds thought she was a puppy, while everyone who didn't have big dogs talked about what a big dog she was.

This is Butch, our 12lbs. Brindle Chihuahua

we also have 3 healers (Daisy,BJ,Lilly) and a beagle/healer mix (Rosie), but no pics hosted yet

Yeah that was him. He was a good beast. SWMBO had him before I met her. Someone dumped him in her back yard and that was all it took. He was VERY good natured. Used to let my eldest climb all over him.

This is Sadie, whose momma looked like your Siberian. She's a pretty tough old girl. For almost 15 and blind as can be, she's holding her own and getting around still. But like I said, she's sleeping a LOT these days. I'm just hoping that when the time comes she'll pass peacefully as opposed to us having to do something. Don't get me wrong, if it ever gets to the point where she just isn't making it, I won't let her drag on and suffer, but I'd rather her just pass in her sleep or something.
