I am wondering what happens if you do not rack wine into secondary. I started some strawberry wine, but I have not gotten to rack it yet. I am now wondering if it is even worth trying because it has been two months.

The first week I stirred daily then things happened that it sat for two months in primary. I just opened it today to look inside. It smells rather strong, like liquor, but I did not taste it. It has been under airlock the entire time.

Any information would be useful as I can find information on secondary but have yet to find any on primary.

You'll probably want to go ahead and get it off the dead yeast, strawberry pieces, etc. Leaving it on for the whole time can adversely affect the flavor. I usually rack my fruit wine two or three times before bottling

Rack it and tast it. Its worth trying before just dumping it!! Chances are good that it is just fine. If it is just a little off tasting age may work wonders. You will probely want to add a campton tab when you rack it as well. ( one per galleon, or the eqilivalent in powder).
Did you start with juice or fresh fruit?
