Howdy from Texas. I'm a relative newbie, but have been brewing off and on (mostly off) for a few years. This is the year I intend to become a full fledge home brewer. I have brewed and bottled 6 batches since Jan 1 and have 2 more in primary now. A couple are drinkable, a couple are good and a couple are outstanding! The 2 in primary are my first foray into creating recipes from scratch. I look forward to getting to know some of you and using this forum to help make my beer better. If you're in the north Texas area, give me a shout.

Cheer,

J

RKW, yes, I buy all of my supplies from HBHQ. There is a shop that is much closer to my office and would be easier to swing by on the way home from work, but I doubt if they can provide the service I get from Kelly and the guys. I ask a lot of questions, some pretty dumb I assume, and they answer, in detail, without any hesitations or making me feel dumb. I'm sure the other shop is a good quality place as well and one day in the near future I do plan to pop my head in and see what they have to offer. But I think for the most part I will remain true to HBHQ

Hi Jason! I am from McKinney as well. I brew with another dude from McKinney who lurks on this site. We roll out our breweries usually 3-4 times a month if we can. We usually brew over at my place in Stonebridge Ranch and are having a blast. Making some pretty dang good beers as well!

Welcome!

Awesome! Would love to come to one of your brew days. Or have you guys to mine. I'm in Westridge, so not too far from you. I still do extract with specialty grains so maybe not as advanced as you guys but I welcome the learning opportunity!

Definitely come by, we 'll tap up a few homebrews.

Multiple invites ieven better! I brewed 2 batches this weekend so I probably won't brew again for 2-3 weeks. That doesn't mean I can't load up a cooler and come learn something though. Let me know about the next brew date and I will do my best to be there!
