Hello! I am Drew. I am brand new to the brewing world. My first batch was a Dunkleweizen (in the bottling stage) and I am currently working on a Oktoberfest (in the secondary carboy). I am not equipped to do a lager so I am currently brewing the Oktoberfest as an ale. 4 days in and a transfer to carboy and I am finally starting the fermentation process. I am in the military and currently (and for the last 6 years been) in Dover DE. I have a friend that tried to get me into the brewing world about 2 years ago. I wanted to but just didn't have the time. I still don't have the time but I am doing it anyways. I was in Germany for 5 years and fell in love with the beer. So what is the best way to get the beer I miss? Try to brew it myself LOL. I am looking forward to reading the ideas and suggestions from all of you experienced brews. I am hoping to get the help that I need and to be able to get the answers that I am looking for. I have done a crap load of research and I am happy with the point that I am at but there is always more to learn. I joined the forum to ask for help and to be able to comment on the million posts that I have already read. I don't know a lot but if you ask me a question I will help you to the best of my knowledge and/or point you in the direction of guy/girl on the site that will/might have the answer. I thank you for answering all of my questions and I am sorry for all of the questions that I am going to ask. I look forward to meeting all of you and when I have the skill I am looking forward to to passing my brew to you and hoping that you share your brew with me. Sorry for the lengthy intro but I just wanted to make sure you all knew the most I could give you about me. Good luck on your current and future brews!

Also, I am not affiliated in anyway, (although I would like to be) if you are in the Dover De area Dover Home Brew Supply is on rt 13 (the light before the Camden Wal-mart I think its the light before ... maybe two) on the right hand side. They have everything you need whether you are a master brewer or just a beginner (beer or wine) ... i would highly recommend them! They helped me out when I first started and they help me out daily! :off:
