How long do you leave aroma hops in for?

I've just made an all grain Old Speckled Hen brew (only my second ever attempt!) and it has turned out really nice, but one thing that I couldn't get from the recipe/instructions is how long to leave the last stage of hops in for? All recipes say put them in once the boil has finished, but do I then leave the in until it has cooled? Or do I leave them in for a few minutes and then filter off?

You don't need to take them out at all. They can go I to primary or you can strain them out when you pour to primary.

Ok, cool, thanks! I assumed that the longer I left them in there, the more acids would be produced, therefore overpowering the previous hops?

The last couple minutes of the boil works well. After steeping the late extract additions at flameout for 15 minutes,I remove the hop sacks & squeeze'em out.
