Hey guys
So I went down to the brew store today and got set up with stuff for an extra pale ale. The guy there was busy so I dident get a chance to talk to him about the amounts and the process of the ingredients, so my plan is to post the things I have and hope we can figure this out lol.
I got
1. two 3 pound bags of Briess Golden light DME.
2.A bag of crystal 15l not sure how much, but he measured it so assume the hole thing is going in for the soak.
3. a non labeled pellet hop for the 60 min boil i think its an oz, a chinook pellet hop at the 30 min, and a casade pellet hop to be put in the last 5 mins
4. 1 packet of Safale US-05 dry yeast.

Im going to assume I am to use it all, but they guy seemed a little "out of it" so wanted to check with you guys :) thanks

Just make sure the Crystal 15 is NO MORE than 10-15% of your total fermentables. If you have 6 lbs of light DME, you should only use about 0.5 to 0.75 lbs of Crystal 15.

Im glad you said that because it seems that the crystal 15 is about a pound, ill weigh it for sure but what side do you think I should stick to the .5 or 0.75

1lb of crystal would be fine in a pale ale, besides 1lb is still less than 10% of the fermentables in this (~18pts out of about 282) and less than 10% by weight if you convert into AG (1lb out of about 11).
