Noob question

I just planted hops yesterday, with the help of my girlfriends mom(she's a gardening fiend) When should I expect to be able to actually use the hops I planted?

I know it will be atleast a year(from what I've heard). I'm super excited to use home grown hops, so I was just curious. Thanks in advance

I think it may be a little late in the season to plant and expect a yeild this year.

Next fall you should have your first harvest.

Thanks guys. I didn't want to plant to early this season because we had snow in late april..Didn't want the little guys to die. The waiting begins >.>
