Hi all,

Batch #9 AG

Lately instead of using Hops in the form of pellets I've been using plugs and whole leaf when ever possible. I'm also using a musliin bag for the hops instead of tossing everything into the kettle free form. When I would use the pellets with out the muslin bag I would end up with a tremendous amount of trub and wasted wort. Now I'm finding with the whole leaf and plugs in a bag there is very little or no trub and very little wasted wort. :tank:

Just wanted to share what I think is a more efficient way of brewing with less loss of our SWEET, SWEET NECTOR.....:drunk:

Thanks,
Frank

Whole leaf and plugs soak up wort, approximately 4 ounces per ounce of hops. No free ride.
