Hey guys i've got a quick question. Brewed this on Saturday, everything went smoothly (except for a boilover) but it has been fermenting for two days and bubbling. The problem is that there is no krausen whatsoever. It also slowed down earlier and I added ice to pot its in and it picked up again. Then it slowed AGAIN and I put in more ice and boom restarted .....
What in the world? Probably fine but just wanted to run it by you guys. Thanks!!

So you're adding ice to the wort, or to the swamp cooler? Ice or heat should be added in response to the wort temp, not the fermentation activity. You're trying to maintian a temp within the range of the yeast. What you're saying is counterintuitive, since higher temps increase fermentation not lower temps. More info please.

Just off of your observations, it sounds like you're fermenting at too high a temperature. What yeast did you use and what is your ambient temp right now?

Well I used a yeast with a high temp threshold bc I don't have a fermentation chamber. I know it sounds backward haha but it's behaving in opposites !
