Okay so my LHBS doesnt have any Imperial A07 Flagship . I'm brewing an IPA . He has wlp001 and Omega west coast ale in stock. I've never tried the Omega before . Wlp001 I use a lot and it's a good yeast . Anyone have any pros/cons they'd like to share about this yeast ?

I've used the Omega West Coast (Omega is located here in Chicago, so its local) - in an IPA and I liked it. I can't really tell you more, I don't really recall specifics.

It's my understanding that the Imperial 07 and WLP001 are both Chico so basically the same strain. The higher cell count in the Imperial means you can skip building a started for most beers of average OG.

A07 = 001 or 1056 since they’re technically different but all 3 will probably produce basically the same beer.

If it’s Omega West Coast Ale 1 it’s also the exact same yeast.
