So I've been on a diet for the past 40 days for health-related reasons. No processed wheat, no processed sugar, no alcohol, and little dairy. I did it! Yesterday was my last day, and today I'm brewing and drinking. I missed homebrew so much, and that's all I've been drinking today. My tolerance has definitely lowered.

Thanks! Of course, no drinking for 40 days does not mean no brewing for 40 days. I've got quite a stockpile. Got to keep that pipeline going!

Good job. The rewards will be grand. Today you will get wasted and tomorrow you will hate life. :D

I have stopped beer consumption and steered toward wiskey and water when I am on a cut. Makers Mark or JD. I try to limit alcohol all together to less than normal. I find fat rolls off that way. Beer is a big time fat gainer, but I am digging this brewing thing of late, so I may wait to cut until it's too damn hot to brew (July 1 most likely). Then I'll try to slim down until November when it's time to get rolling again on brewing.

I've found that it is too easy to over indulge in this sport. :cross:

40 Days is a damn long time without a cold beverage. Congrats...but my advise to you is "Drink man, DRINK!"

Glad you can have a homebrew again.

Don't worry I drank your quota of beer along with mine. It was tough but somebody had to do it. :drunk:

I did a dry July last year.. there were times when I NEEDED a beer... But I did it, it was mainly to show I had the will power to do it (and it was great for my health!)

and yes, I was a cheap drunk after it ended!
