No Action in AirLock

First time brewer here and I am not sure I am having any action in my air lock. For brevity sake, let's assume I did everything right up to transferring to fermenter. I have taken pictures and the same time (roughly 8pm, after sun goes down) each day so far (see below). The last picture is actually of it this morning (8th day).

Thoughts?

Looks like a normal fermentation to me. Just because the airlock isn't blowing bubbles doesn't mean fermentation isn't happening. Let it ride another couple of weeks at least for the yeast to have time to clean up after themselves.

You're making beer!

Edit: looking closely at the pictures, you may not have quite enough liquid in the airlock. There's a fill line on the side and it's usually a bit over half full if I remember right. It's not hurting anything, just an observation for the future.

Airlocks have two main purposes. First is to allow excess CO2 to escape so the fermenter doesn't explode from the pressure. The second is to entertain the brewer as he/she can watch the bubbles. I have fermenters that always bubble the airlock, some that never bubble the airlock, and one that has no airlock at all. They all make beer just as yours is doing. The real evidence of that is the large amount of bubbles (krausen) on the surface of your beer.

The fermenter that I'm using has the same kind of screw on lid that you have. Its leaking past the rubber o-ring in the cap. take saran wrap fold it in half and wrap it several time tightly around where the cap meets the fermenter and your air lock will start bubbling.
 
Mojorizen, thanks for the input. I will go ahead and wrap the lid...just in case that is what it is. Next time, I will fill the thing to the fill line and see if I notice a difference.
