Toronto got a point last night!
How many wins will they have this season?
I say 11.

Picks for tonight: (only picking games in west)

STL 3 - PHX 2 - OT (Vandermeer beats the tar out of Crombeen in 2nd period)

CHI 4 - NSH 0 (2pts+ for Seabrook, NSH doesn't get to play their hillbilly goal song))

EDM 3 - DET 1 (Khabibulin with at least one good slash on Holmstrom's legs)

LAK 5 - VAN 2 (VAN fans blame refs as their D gets skated around like pylons)

You guys are all a bunch of Pansies. The Leafs are the toughest team in the League. I have said it before, winning is over-rated. Beating up little refs is what counts... Go Colton Orr, Go!

He just gave him a little tap telling him 'back up, it ain't over yet' and the ref fell on his ass.
If he is going to sport #28 he has to represent ya know!

Stupid Nashville (sexual) Predators!
Hawks looked like ****. Kane only one creating anything.
Power play sucks.
Rinne snatched up too many pucks with the glove and didn't let CHI crash net for rebounds.
Hope Toews plays tomorrow against MTL.

I won't blame refs like VAN fans, but will say the ice looked bad. Lots of bouncing pucks. I still won't blame the ice, I blame Hawks crappy power play and Rinne's outstanding glove.

Hawks 4, Sharks 3, OT

Seabrook!

Pretty damn good game, Sharks are really good.
Jumbo Joe scares the hell out of me when he's on the ice.

Sharks have been firing on all cylinders. Any points against that team are certainly earned. The Blues played a solid game except for about 2:00 in the second. They scored to quick goals and took the two points.

12-16 is the first Blues/Hawks game.
I've been looking forward to that one.
Right now, I see the Blues kinda like the Hawks were a year or two ago, on the way up.
Should be a good series of games and and good test for both teams.
I'm glad the rivalry seems to be sparking back up.
:mug:

Oh, and by the way, there was some goofball on Blues forums saying that Keith and Seabrook wouldn't even crack St Louis' top 6 D, and that Toews would be a 4th liner on the Blues.
I know there are idiots everywhere but DAMN!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Come on, Keith/Seabrook is one of the top D pairings in the entire NHL, and the Hawks have a damn fine captain in Toews.

How bad is DJ King hurt? I always liked him, hope he's back soon.

Chicago Blackhawks' Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith close to new contracts

That will be nice to see.

edit - ESPN radio reporting that Duncan Keith will be signed to 10 year deal.
I'd like to see an even longer term for Toews.

+100 to the Toews comment. I love to add fuel to the Red Wings rivalry, but Toews reminds me of Yzerman in so many ways. No matter what you think of the Red Wings, past or present, you have to respect Yzerman's career and accomplishments.

I don't know the status of Sharp's contract, but would love to see him remain a part of this team well into the future. Besides the number and looks, he reminds me of a cross between Tony Amonte and Steve Thomas.

On paper, we are weak on D. In reality we've been pretty tough to score against. It's our offense that is not doing the job.

I'd gladly trade Brewer for either one of those guys. Hell, I be happy if they traded him for an equipment bag.

Since I am a Hawks fan, you can probably guess how I feel about the Wings, but I will NEVER utter a negative word about Steve Yzerman. Stevie Y is 100% class.

Hawks 3-0 on the annual Circus Trip so far. (7 game win streak total!)
CAL & EDM looked like little *******, VAN played much better, Niemi saved game for Hawks.
Hossa back Wed. against Sharks!
Sharks are always scary though, Jumbo Joe is my hero.

The Blues have yet to win three in a row this season. Special teams killed us last night. 2 PPGAs, 0-4 on the PP, gave up a shorty.

This has not been the season that Blues fans expected after last year's strong finish.

Will be great to see Hossa in the lineup against the Sharks, should be a good game to watch. Against Vancouver it was like watching last year's playoff series again. Looking ahead in the schedule I don't like the month of January for the Hawks. Four home games all month...could be tough, but if they can stay on a roll. I like the seven in a row, but would rather not see them be so streaky.

@arturo...I'm sure the Blues will come surging back if they can get the puck in the net. November looked like a reasonably tough month, and the Goals Against is pretty low. They always seem to be right there in the final two months of the season.

The final score was not what I was expecting, but a great game by the Hawks in San Jose tonight. Team chemistry looked pretty seamless with Hossa in the lineup which is good to see. Eight in a row baby!

WOW!
I was thinking Sharks would win 3-2 or 4-5 or something.
I thought Hossa would be a factor in the game but 1 SHG & 1 evG? No, I didn't expect that. 3 shorties in a row for Hawks! YAY!

Really though, Jumbo Joe is always dead on with his passes, and Heater is damn fast with the quick-wrister/one-timer.
But Pat Foley (hawks TV announcer) had it right, "it looked like the Harlem Globetrotters out there"

They are playing NHL again? I thought they quit a few years ago.

I will never come back to the game after the poor little rich guys took a year away from me.

I came on hockey late in life so it has no previous childhood memories with me.

The baseball strike of 94 took away a world series from me. It wasn't until the Mcgwire/Sosa home run duel that I was brought back to it. I played and watched baseball as a youngster so it had that appeal to me. I am not sure even if we got a return of a young Wayne Gretsky that it will get me back.

@pro sports, Keep on having labor disputes and sky high ticket prices and you will lose your fan base.
