Started a month ago and did a nut brown ale extract with steeping grains from my LHBS. It was so easy that I went back the next day and got another bucket and did a Sweetwater 420 clone. Bottled both on Saturday and can't wait to taste them. My question is what's next? I am thinking a porter and an Irish red. Bottling two batches on the same day seems the way to go. After all of the setup and cleaning, the second batch took maybe an hour. So, brew two on Sunday and bottle two 3 or 4 weeks from now. I am open to ideas. My LHBS is laid back and knowledgable at the same time. They can make whatever.

Thanks,

Chad

+1 to double brew days. My first couple of brews were single 5 gal batches and it just seemed like a lot of set up and clean up for one batch. I've been all grain double brewin' it for a while.

One recipe I would like to suggest is Slim's Lemon Lime Hefe found Here in the recipe section.

If you're not into clicking random links, just navigate over to the recipes and look in the wheat beer section. There's a ton of traffic on that thread so it should be near the top. The author includes an extract version in the original post and there are lots of people who have modded it slightly with great results.

Happy Brewing!

Man am I happy you posted that link... I stumbled across it about 2 weeks ago, and have been trying tirelessly since trying to get back to it. I remember thinking that it would be an awesome one to try.
