I bought a Mr. Beer kit recently but haven't used it for beer yet... having too much fun brewing sodas with yeast 
One of these days I'll start the pale ale starter brew!
So far I made a ginger beer (good but way too much ginger), cream soda (nice), lime soda (bottle carbing now), and a hibiscus soda (failure).
Anyway I just wanted to say this forum is really great!
