Hey all,
Just started my mead making journey, and am in the middle of my first batch. The first few are going to be a ride on the roller coaster called the "Learning curve". Found this forum while Googling "Why did my mead stop fermenting so quickly?" 5 days in, all bubbling basically stopped. based on what I had read, I thought it would take quite a bit longer. One new hydrometer (one piece of the learning curve) later, I discovered that indeed, my yeast were all done snacking on the sugar. Yes, I jumped in the deep end without much more than floaties on, so I'm glad to have found this place to help keep me afloat for the time being...
