Hello,
Is there a "how to build a kegerator 101 thread?". We are in the process of finishing our basement which includes a wet bar. I want to have a keg on tap there. I was looking at the prices of under counter kegerators and they seem really high! Some friends suggested I would be better off converting a fridge with a kit but I have no idea where to start (or if that is the best plan). We won't go through much beer unless we have company over...so I can't see ever needing more than a 1/4 keg in there.

Also, our contractor needs to order cabinets any day now...so I need to know at least the dimension of the fridge that will go in there. Can anyone help?

I apologize if there are already 10 newbie threads I missed.

Thanks!
Julie

I followed the instructions in this video and it worked out very well for me: [ame]https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zHWy_Vlw3J4[/ame]

Make sure whatever fridge you choose is rated for under counter use. They usually have to vent underneath for cooling.

Same boat here... looked at tons of threads and haven't found any RECENT mini-fridge models that EASILY convert to 2 ball lock and a small co2 WITHOUT cutting the door up or other destructive mods... in the old days it was just drill a hole in the top for the tower and it was done...Models that work now?
