Newbie mistake

As I was putting the lid on the fermenting bucket and was about to put the air lock I noticed that I didn't have the lid for the airlock. Come to find out I left the lid in the bucket. There was no way I was going to locate the lid so I closed the bucket and put another airlock. Is this going to contaminate the beer? Should I worry? Please help!

Thanks that makes me feel a lot better but I was so upset with myself the I forgot to get the OG.

Yes indeed! as long as it hasnt started fermenting its not too late. i always use my hydrometer before i put the lid on. the test tube thing i got with the test set is at a slant so it was never accurate so i just stick it in the bucket.
