I will say up front that I hate making introduction posts, but I'll humor you this time. LOL.

Been "lurking" for about two weeks as I did research for my very first (solo) brew. It's a hard cider that went into the closet Saturday. Coolest 'room' in the apartment.

My only experience so far other than research was assisting the boyfriend with his second time around, newbie, blonde ale recipe about a month ago. His first batch was before we were dating. It was a simple, low alcohol two week batch that turned out fine, but is almost gone already. Heh.

I'd been wanting to brew for quite a while, but had never gotten around to it. Him having most of the equipment to get started finally got me off my behind. Hopefully, this first attempt will at least be drinkable. I don't expect anything spectacular on a first try.

Welcome to the site. Another Oregonian here. Been brewing for about 3 1/2 years now and yes its addicting. This is where I come when I have questions, there are a lot of nice and helpful people here.
