Welcome. I've been waiting for more Ohio people. What part you from? I'm just south of columbus
There are a number of brewers from Ohio but Ohio is a big state so not many are too close. As you can see from my location I am on the north coast.

Welcome to HBT. I see you have already purchased the Mr. Beer but in general a kit from a home brewing store contains items you will use as your brewing progresses while a Mr. Beer is likely to be left behind and forgotten quickly if you find brewing interesting.

I'm from the Cleveland area but have been living in AZ for the past 12 years. The Bass player in my band use to brew some killer beer. Welcome.

outlawstang - My wife is from North of Dayton in a small town called Cuvington. We drive through Beavercreek on the way to the Inlaw's Maybe sometime When you decided to move up to Extract Brewing, Partial mashing and Even AG I could stop up and give you a hand. I'm no expert but have a couple extracts under my belt, Doing my First partial mash tonight and hope to be doing All Grain this summer.

I'm from near Dayton (Tipp City) and my wife's from Yellow Springs. We're down there on a semi-regular basis. Yellow-Springs has a reasonable homebrew shop, if you're ever in the area. It's also a juice bar, which is odd. They'll sell various beverages, but only WITHOUT alcohol, while at the same time selling you the means to make alcohol.

Welcome, I'm from Lorain, just west of Cleveland. Alot of good info and help here. Good luck with your brewing!

Welcome Oh one of the creek of Beavers. :D

I grew up in Dayton myself (Oakwood) and still have family in Kettering and Centerville.
