So I am super new to homebrewing, ive brewed 6 batches over the last month and a half. First 3 turned out amazing and have 3 in primary/secondary. I downloaded the ibrewmaster app and was playing around with a recipe the other day. This is what I came up with if anyone could look at it and see if it would be something worth brewing or if I should keep to pre made recipes. Any criticism would be helpful. Cheers

Looks like a solid recipe to me. I don't see anything that would taste bad (at least to me anyway). I dig the maple syrup idea - along with your grain choices and the British ale yeast, you're going to end up with some very complementary flavors. One thing for sure, that beer will have head for days!

Looks like an interesting brew with a balance between malt and bitterness. I've never used maple syrup before, so can't comment on it's use. What is your mash temp? Looks like a high FG when there is sugar in the grain bill.

Also, I'd not spend the extra money on maris otter - with the other flavours going on I don't think it will add anything noticeable (alternatively, go with all maris otter as the base malt). I'm sure some others will disagree.

Lastly, if you are looking for flavour from the cascade, it would be better at 20-30 mins.

edit: just saw your mash temp. For a medium body mash with that yeast, beersmith says a final gravity of 1.015 which sounds about right to me given the sugar %.

Gnomebrewer thanks for the advise on the cascade. I was thinking a little bitter a little aroma so would 30 mins be a good balance of that?

30mins for flavour, but little aroma. More like 15mins if you want some flavour and some aroma, or last 5 or so minutes if you want more aroma.
