Hi guys I'm starting to plan a herms build (keggles) and was wondering if it would be a problem to use 1" ss tubing as opposed to something smaller in diameter. I probably wouldn't hard plumb it into the system until later on. If I went with 1" would I need a bigger pump then the chugger pumps I see alot of guys use with 1/2" lines ?

1" won't need a bigger pump. You could use one without worry about backpressure offsetting the increased pump power. Bigger issue will be having the muscles to bend the tubing ;-)

Thanks for the response. I didn't mean for my herms coil . I want all my lines to be 1" Ss. The reason is because I have alot lying around the shop and I also have alot of 1" trc fittings.
