I used a kit for my first batch to get a little bit of the feel for homebrewing, I was fiddling around with my new software and came up with this for an IPA...what do you think? Am I on the right track or missing the boat, haha. I guess what I am asking is according to my software it falls within range for and IPA, but will it taste like one?

5 gallon batch, probably doing a full boil this time of something like 6 gallons of water to begin with.

9 lbs light liquid malt extract
1 lb 60L Crystal Malt Steeped

1.5 oz Simcoe 13% 60 mins
1.5 oz Columbus 15.5% 30 mins
1.5 oz Columbus 15.5% 10 mins
1 oz Cascade 4.5 % 5 mins
1 oz Cascade 4.5% 1 min
1 oz Cascade at turn off

I was gong to us Safale - 05

Programs give me 7 % ABV and 84 IBU's

welp. I'm not all that more experienced but.... how much are you planning on making? Just that 9lb of LME seems like a lot. Also the hops, though I've never done an IPA so maybe that amount is normal at brew time for those.
