Well there's a dancing banana.

I'm new to brewing - I've brewed just one time, and I would definitely consider it a success. High ABV, still, sort-of-backsweetened hard cider.

Hoping to be active in the hard cider section of the boards - and who knows, maybe i'll try my luck at some ale further down the road.

Currently looking into building my own cider press, but I don't have much room for it. As far as my setup goes, I have a corner in my room where I have 4 individual gallon jugs, clear plastic tubing, a funnel, a thermometer, hydrometer ( is that how you say it?) and my sanitation supplies.

I'm hoping to try out some brews with a yeast starter as opposed to just throwing the yeast into the bottle and waiting for it to get to work.

See you all around!

Greetings and welcome! Grew up, north of you. Hoping to get over to Rush River brewing for some tasting and a tour.

Indeed!!

I would recommend American Sky brewery in Hudson, just north of here also! They are a new local brewer and have a bar in the middle of their brewery - shaped like an airplane wing, and about 5 or 6 beers on tab, depending on what they have available.

Rush River's winter saison is fantastic.

Was at American Sky a few week ago. Nice place, brought home a growler. Very tasty.
