Im Australian and living in Brazil, Im a chef and planning to open my own Brewpub/Restaurant in around a years time. My plan will be to just have my own beer on the taps there so i am about to start with learning about brewing my own beers.

Looking forward to talk more with you all at sometime!

Thanks for your reply! Brewpub is definately my goal but for now and at least the next months its all about starting from scratch and learning everything i can

A year from newbie homebrewer to brewpub? That's a tall order. Ive been brewing for a few years now and still wouldn't be comfortable going pro.

It's doable but you'll need to brew a little more often Than just the casual every couple of weeks. Focus on just 2-3 signature brews. Maybe bring in a brewmaster toward the end to put into practice on a larger scale what you've worked out as a homebrewer.

It's relatively easy to make drinkable beer. Making great beer can be a full time challenge :) especially when also trying to manage a restaurant.

There are a few threads on here from those who have made the switch to pro. Very much worth the read.

I say go for it! And good luck!
