New to Meads, need simple smaller recipe

I wanted to try my hand at a basic mead. I am thinking of somewhere in between a Sweet mead and a Dry mead. Preferably without any fruit or spices.

If someone could provide me with a recipe for a 1gallon batch that would be extremely helpful. Thanks!
