Hello Everyone,

I hope you all are well. I wanted to stop in and say hello and introduce myself and give a little history on my experience. A while back, I received a Mr Beer kit for a present and brewed 1 batch out of it. It turned out OK, but for some reason i Just tabled the rest of Mr beer stuff i had and didn't make another. Life happened and got married and got a house and made a kegerator out of a 4.4 Cu Ft. mini fridge that i have been just getting 5 gallon kegs from the local breweries and using a picnic faucet to dispense beer with no draft towers or any shanks sticking out of the fridge.

Fast forward to now, I just got a beginner brewing kit for being in my friends wedding. So a couple of weeks back I decided to break it out and give it a shot. It was similar to the Mr Beer kit except i steeped the grains then added the malt extract syrup, then the hops, cooled it in an ice bath in the kitchen sink, added several more gallons of water to the fermenting bucket and combined it all and pitched the yeast.

While it was Fermenting I decided to go check out a Brew Store by my father in laws place that he took my wife and i to go see. I ended up purchasing a 5 gallon Torpedo keg. after waiting 2 weeks for it to ferment I transferred it to the keg and carbonated it at about 15 psi for several days and shook it up and have been drinking some of it and I got to say im pretty stoked with how it turned out. It can probably carbonate a little longer but now I have it dialed down to about 12 psi and its working pretty well.

I thought id show some pics of my keg set up as well. I recently decided to put a draft tower on and put it under my work bench, which is still a work in progress but its coming along nicely :mug:
