I started fermenting this batch on Monday, today is Wednesday. I sampled some today and I think it tastes great and I can tell there is alcohol in it. I am too lazy to go to the store. I think I am going to pour myself a 6 pack and just drink it. It's really not bad. I had this kinda thing before where I drink the whole almost all the beer by like day 9, which is how long I usually ferment. Mind you my main goal in brewing is to cut the costs down. So today I drink some flat but flavorful beer and save myself 8 bucks. My beer is simple 6 lb Bavarian Wheat Liquid Malt Extract, 1oz Saaz Hop Pellets, yeast Brettanomyces bruxellensis Trois Vrai (WLP648)(It appeared to be dead after 3 days so I added another package of dry yeast. All I am trying to achieve at this point is reducing costs. I am a heavy drinker I drink 6 tall boys every day. Thinking about investing in a keg, and the first step for me is cutting down the cost not making better beer. It actually tastes better flat than the cheap carling I usually drink. Any thoughts advice? This is my 7-8th batch in my lifetime.
