The best I could find in China so no more milling by hand. Can take about 2 pounds a minute and only for 60 dollars! Tools are cheap in China but hard to find what you need.
Yeah that looks way to fine of a crush. You want to keep most of the husks in tact. If the mill is not adjustable. Try conditioning your grain before running it through. Just use a spray bottle and mist your grain to where it is damp, then run it through the mill. Not only will that keep the flour and dust production down, but should help keep the husks in tact. It is adjustable and I recently read that your grain should not be too fine. So next batch I will adjust for sure. Thanks for that. You can find a hand mill but I am not going to mill 20 pounds with that
On the inside are basically two ribbed stones so when buying this I thought in the old days they used this so must not be too bad. I did get a sweet wort but didn't have the chance to taste the result yet.
