Hey, been brewing on and off for the past 15 years. Getting back into it after a 3 year hiatus. Only ever done extracts but am graduating from kits to devising my own recipes. About to try brewing my first Xmas ale this week. I created the recipe in the wort app. Not entirely sure if I got the proportions of specialty grains a d spices right. Anyone have experience in Xmas ales?

Welcome to the forum!

I only brewed a Christmas ale once a long time ago and I way over did the coriander. I kept it around for years and kept sampling it and even five years later it had too much coriander. So the only thing I have to offer is that some spices are easy to overdo and it's best to be conservative with them. I'm sure there are many people here with a lot of experience in this area that are willing to help.

Good luck!
