Well I just got some new thermometers from AHS. I slapped the on my carboys and had to put them in some water and ice to help keep them cool in this awesome VA heat. Well I'm looking at them now and it seams that they've separated. By this I mean, I can see the "top layer" peeling off the crystal part.... I thought these things would have been water proof, or at least resistant. Not a huge deal but still sucks non the less...

This subject was discussed a year or so ago.

I had the same happen to me...we all have.

I recommended you just scotch tape them on (leave backing on) so you can remove them when washing your fermenters or submerging them in a bath to keep cool.

When you put them in a tub of cold water just use your floating therm. :D
