I have always wanted to get in to brewing my own beer after going to Germany and having some of the best beer of my life, then coming back here to the States and going back to all the crummy regular American beer

I have a local store that sells some imported beer from Germany, but it is pricey.... my Dad brews his own wine, and for graduating college he bought me a very nice home brew kit

My favorite beer is Hefeweiß so this if the first brew I am going to attempt
I have a 6.5 gallon glass carboy with airlock for fermenting
and all the siphon equipment and 7 gallon plastic bucket
and 40 Grolsch bottles

Welcome to brewing and the forum, fellow Ohioan. You'll find an extract hefe is about the easiest beer there is to brew!

PROST!

Greetings and welcome.
This forum is a great resource.
Last week I spent the week freezing while working in Toledo. I wanted to visit the homebrew shop to find what to brew for my 4th batch, but after 12 hour days in the cold, I shut down pretty early. I'll make it next time.
Happy brewing.

You just need selection (and homebrew, of course). Go to the Beverage Depot on Monroe Street in Sylvania and Anderson's at Talmadge and Monroe in Sylvania, or the one on Illinois Ave in Maumee. Great selections, both craft and import.

Welcome aboard, and PROST! :mug:
