Hey guys, im new here and fairly new to the brewing world. I did a little here and there a few years ago when i was stationed in Alaska. Im getting back into now and brewing Cider. I developed an allergy to hops so i cant drink very many beers. I developed a taste for Hard Ciders and especially love Magners for its deep rich and almost woody flavor. Alot of companies jumped on the hard cider wagon and have made some horrendous ciders. That redds apple ale taste like a bottle of water with a spash of apple juice and a hint of pee.Theres only a few off the shelf brands i enjoy, Angry Orchard and Hornsbys are what i drink mostly since i cant get Magners in my State. Anyways ive been trying to make a killer cider that bridges the gap between not too sweet but not too dry or bitter.

Welcome! I agree about Redds. I prefer their strawberry.

I'm not a fan of most cider, but I occasionally try some for kicks. I'd like to try making a dry cider with a bit of hops added for interest.
