Howdy all from Pittsburgh region.

I'm a new member here who's just getting back into the hobby after 10+ years. God that sounds terrible. But life does that. Had my first born, got busy, sold all my stuff when times got tight, and just now getting te spark again.

I'm generally a mead and cider kinda guy. I can get excellent fresh pressed apple cider year round because of all the orchards around me, and im really interested in creating a special kind of low ABV mead as well as stupid high ABV for long term oak aging. Thanks for creating such an awesome place.

When i decided to get back into it, a lot of my research brought me to resources here so cheers to all!

Welcome to HBT and back to alcohol making from north AL! Lots of great folks and information here. I envy your access to fresh juice as I pretty much have to use store bought for cider.🍻🍻

Cheers! It is great to see meadmaking becoming more popular. Our homebrew club has 2 members winning awards at local events up and down!

Also small meads are great for keeping that honey flavor in. I always recommend people keep them sub 13% to help the delicate notes of honey coem through!
