The guy is from Boston, but originally from Africa
I'll try to be as politically correct as possible when telling this story:
When I was going through EMT-Basic there was a guy who had come over from Nigeria to take the course. The school had plenty of international students doing things in the allied health college, so no big deal.
Around the end of the semester I am hanging out between classes one day on my hour lunch break. This guy is sitting in the hallway looking out the window. Whatever, kind of odd. He was in my earlier class but was not in the class I had afterwards, but I thought maybe he was waiting for someone to come back from lunch to turn in some clinical documentation.
I find out the next day that he had been sitting int he hallway for the entire period that my next class had taken up, at least two hours, and when we were all getting ready to leave he had begun asking people if they had seen his keys.
Oh so that's why he was sitting there.
He follows a girl out to the parking lot and corners her and tells her she is going to take him to the library and she of course responds "no" in maybe a bit more words.
More weirdness happens and the guy's keys were in the pocket of his jacket, someone found out later.
the next day he shows up for a clinical rotation that he is not scheduled for. The crew on call that day informs him that he's not scheduled and he can't just show up like that, and the ringer goes off, letting them know they got a call. He then runs out into the ambulance bay and throws on some random firefighters gear and jumps into the back of the ambulance and refuses to leave. Another ambulance takes the call. They call the police and he gets cited for trespassing and is told to leave.
He then gets into his astrovan and starts driving the wrong way down a main road in town. The police officer follows him, pulls him over and asks for his license/registration/insurance. He tells the officer it's none of his business and throws the van into reverse and begins to evade arrest. He is not driving the right way, in the wrong direction, on this very busy main road. got arrested, sent to psych, never heard from again.
tl;dr.
Had an african dude in a class. He was kind of weird. Went bat**** crazy.
Watch out.
