Hi, all. New from lovely Southeastern MA here. New to the forum and relatively new to brewing as well. One batch of wit to my credit so far back in January, brewed from an ingredient "kit" from the nice folks at Blackstone Valley Brewery Supply. I have the basic kit - six gallon plastic fermenters, big kettle, wort foam all over the kitchen...where the heck did i put that spoon... Smart enough to buy a bottle filler, though! So a little confusion, but a very successful first effort and I have a bunch of new friends as a result.

I'm not beholden to any particular beer style - I drink what tastes good to me and don't worry too much about the classification. We've been sampling craft beers for about a year now, finding what we like so I can get an idea of what I want to brew. Been drinking craft brews for while myself, just got the missus along for the ride. Her previous fave was Blue Moon, but a draft Hoegaarden and couple of Dogfish Head brews and Clown Shoes Clementine got her interested in the possibilities. We do have different taste, but that's cool - be boring if we didn't.

I've worked in the fruit and juice business for 31 years as an engineer in a research and development department. Enjoy the work, plus I have a pretty good network of fabricators and equipment suppliers so I can see some upgrades to the brew kit in the future!

Couple o' kids (moved out nowadays), bunch o' critters running around the place (cats/dogs). Spend time on music, yard and home projects, gardening, and motorcycling (not combined with beer tasting). So needed to fill that spare time up with the brewing hobby. Actually, it has been something I've wanted to do for a very long time, and now that I have done one batch I'm hooked.

Trying to learn as much as possible as I get into home brewing, so this looks like the place to be! Tend to be a lurker, especially during the break-in period, so I will be doing a lot of reading and asking questions as I learn how things work here.

Welcome aboard. My wife is a huge fan of Clown Shoes Clementine and I have working to develop a suitable facsimile. I am about four batches in now and she thinks we are pretty close. I brew it as an all-grain BIAB, but I am sure it can be adapted if you're interested.
